My hair is changing now to a more wirey feel, but I keep grabbing NMT as my routine. My hair knots a bit on the neck after a sleep or shower. To comb through I always grab NMT. Who wants to lose hair through excessive pulling? An older woman can’t afford to lose hair. You ought to run some adds on your product for all ages. Curly hair and medium length is what I have. I love your product. It was hard to find this month when I needed a new bottle. I actually found it at a grocery store, thank heavens. Small town problems. Have a great Christmas holiday.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lana from CHANGE THE CONTAINER I have used this product since I was 16 years old. I have fine and easily knotted hair. I am now much, much older. Your first container was slender and round, it had a woman and child on it. Your second container was white and had ridges on the upper portion of the bottle. That was fine. This current bottle is made for a a huge man hand and is hard for a smaller hand to put around it. Please change the container unless you think only big, burly men are the only ones using this product. If this was user-friendly, I think more would use the product. The product, itself, has always worked good for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lin6 from Missing the Original Formula I bought a new bottle of this product for my two boys after our other bottle ran out, and am so disappointed with the new scent-Doesn’t smell fresh and clean anymore like I remember from my own childhood-Wishing I could return it to the store for a refund, as the smell is too strong and my four year old wanted a bath again and said “Yuck!” after I sprayed it on his hair! Any chance you’ll go back to the original scent and formula?! “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” :)

This is the only product that worked well to comb through my very thick, curly hair as a child so I knew what to use for my daughter's hair. I have been using this in her hair for 7 years, but noticed a huge change when I purchased what I thought was just a newly designed bottle not a new product. As soon as I sprayed this in her hair we immediately began to cough. Not something you want out of a product that is predominately used on children's hair. I then ran to the drugstore where I know it is not frequently purchased and bought all of the original version I could fine. Please bring back the original or make it an option to purchase a case of the original version.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nycbirgit from Bring back the old scent!! Please! I didn’t know if it was just me that was so disappointed in this new scent but I see lots of people feel the same. I used Johnson’s detsnhlet dpray on my three daughters every day for over ten years! The smell made me happy and they loved it too. Now I am at a loss because I sn’t use the new one without making a face. ;( If anyone knows where I can get leftover supplies of the old one please let me know!!

I never knew they use to have a different smell but the smell that comes with these “new” ones is absolutely disgusting. The first thing that came to my mind was Raid spray for pests, that is the most similar thing I believe it smells like. It helps get rid of all the knots but the smell makes me feel like I’m putting something potentially dangerous on my daughters head so it went straight to the trash bin!

However, we recently bought a new bottle, and the new scent is making both myself and my young daughter almost nauseous. Why did you change it? The old scent was fine. I'm now on a search to find a new detangling spray from a different company, because this one from Johnsons isn't going to work for us any more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Johnson’s No More Tangles Detangling Spray is really a great product to detangle my twin boys’ hair. It is very easy to use on wet or dry hair. I love to use it after their baths when their hair is still wet. The spraying nozzle makes it easy to spray the right amount onto their hair. It smooths and detangles my twins curly hair without weighing it down. Afterwards I can brush and style their hair without any crying and all the knots and tangles disappear. The scent is clean and fresh and not too overpowering. I really recommend this detangling spray. You can’t go wrong with Johnson’s.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kcivie from DO NOT USE!!!!!! I bought this to use in my 18 month olds hair and he suffered a chemical burn on the side of his face as well as his scalp. I am not sure what is going into this product but I don’t seem to be the only person who has had this experience using this product. I at first thought it was an allergic reaction but upon confirmation from the doctor it was indeed a chemical burn. I hope they fix this.

When we used it we both started coughing from the smell. It’s so awful. We tried to just power through the terrible new smell for a few more uses but it’s just too terrible to tolerate. I will be returning this bottle and I guess buying another brand. Very disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Tangled Mom from Miss the old formulation I've been using the Detangling Spray since 2006, it's the only way i can comb my long hair and survive. Recently my daughters hair became long enough to where i started using it on her too. Always loved the light fresh smell, which is huge for me because i cannot handle strong smells (i have a sort of allergic reaction to them) and have not been able to wear perfume or fragrant lotion in a very long time. However, then i ran out and had to buy a new bottle and that all changed. I can't handle the smell and now i don't know what to do. I don't want to spray this on my daughter and subject her to the awful fragrance nor do i want to make her cry and hate having her hair brushed. Is there no way to bring back the old smell but keep the updated transparency in ingredients? Perhaps a happy medium?? Please and thank you.

I am very disappointed in the changes that have been made. My daughter and I start coughing at the first spray and the formula doesn’t work as well. Please change it back!

As soon as I opened it, the scent hits you in the face. It’s an awful baby powder smell. I am absolutely disappointed that the smell changed as it used to smell soooo good. BRING BACK THE OLD SMELL! Will not be purchasing again until the old smell returns.

I did not think anything of it when purchased just thinking maybe the bottle had a new look. So, I used it tonight for the first time, and I am very disappointed that I paid any type of money for this product. Obviously the new look must have came with a new formula. I had trouble combing my hair in the first place which has never happened before with this product especially because I used it specifically to help comb my hair. With the new look product I had more trouble combing my hair and it felt like a sticky residue was left behind. I'm very disappointed because I have very thick hair and this was the best product I found to help me be less tangled. Now it seems like using the product makes it worse or harder. Please bring back the old formula of this product or you definitely lost a consistent customer.

Apparently the old formula was replaced with the new lion bottle formula. Supposed to be more natural, but my daughter gags everytime I spray it in her hair. If anything it seems like it has toxic smell. Bought this great reliable product for 5 years, now hunting for a replacement.

It’s the only detangling spray I’ve found that actually works on my very curly hair and daughters, leaving it soft and manageable. Not only is the smell nauseating, manageability is no longer. Sadly, I’ll be looking for a new product and will no longer recommend to others.

The old formula left our kids hair smelling fresh and clean. The new formula fragrance has a disgusting burnt chemical smell to it. How in the world did this make it past management? Won't be buying this product again.

A few days ago we ran out and bought this new formulation with the lion on the front. The scent is awful. Neither I, nor my daughter can stand it. Please change it back. We will not buy this one again.

The new formula seems to make my daughter's hair have a tacky feeling. It does not leave her with soft manageable curls like the previous formula did. I'm not too fond of the smell either.

I’ve tried to use it in her hair twice and I just can’t do it. I’m dumping this bottle and never buying this again. So disappointed. What a waste of money.

I can't decide whether it smells more like bug spray or an old lady who is trying to cover up the smell of her unwashed body.
I have also notice that is causes a rash on my daughters cheeks.
I am currently shopping for a new brand of detangler.

Bought a new bottle with the kid astronaut and it started to burn my scalp, and it left a big red line across my neck where my hair was resting. Also left red splotches on my hands where the detangler hand landed. Please get rid of this new formula. I can’t imagine a child dealing with this.

My little boy has long wavy hair prone to tangles and I simply spray this on after a bath and I can comb through his hair with ease. Saves time and saves him crying and screaming. I also tried this on his hair when it was dry and it works just as well to get tangles out and I also find it helps his hair stay in style, not to mention it smells gorgeous, I can't stop smelling his head when I use this. If you or your child have tangle prone hair this is definitely a must have purchase and will continue to use for the foreseeable future.

We used the old product daily on our 3 yr old. New formula smell burns our nose and makes us all cough. I had a new one and a old one and my daughter would scream and say “no not that one!” when she seen the lion. Let me know if you change it back.

Plus, it leaves a build-up that the older version didn't. I cannot express how sad and mad we are that such a good product was changed. We have wasted money on a product that we cannot use. PLEASE offer the older version again. It was sensitive enough that my daughter with allergies and asthma could use it daily with zero negative side effects.

Just called the company and they are refunding my purchase of 3 bottles online. Representative also said he will make management aware and I did tell him I saw this website while we were on the phone.
